Mystery Shopper scheme

As you are aware there has been numerous tourism marketing campaigns relating to WA over recent years, which has contributed to increased visitor numbers and visitor spend (a record $4.8 billion in the past year!)

JVG Events now offer a new scheme especially designed for tourism providers. Called QCS (Quality Control Scheme) it aims to monitor services and products to ensure tourism providers are meeting the needs of customers.

I have recently launched this business in WA after emigrating from the UK. I have worked with tourism providers in the UK in building tourism strategies, mainly for the Northants area (The County of Spiral and Squires). I have worked in partnership with attractions such as Althorp House (home of the late Diana Spencer), Braunston Marina, Cottesbrook House, Fawsley Hall Hotel and worked as a Marketing and Events Manager for Wicksteed Park (increasing visitor figures by 45% in 6 month period). The QCS Scheme works by my visiting your attraction and then compiling a comprehensive report. I look at the following areas (although these can be adapted if you wish to review a specific area)

  • Marketing - looking at ease of use of your website, the information available, the design, potential additional sources of revenue, your printed marketing and the availability.
  • First Impressions - directions given and signage from major routes, your entrance and the signage, general impression from the road.
  • Your staff - interaction with visitors, knowledge of your services, presentation
  • Food - availability, presentation, choice, quality, marketing
  • Services - the range you provide, areas for additional revenue streams, any exceptional areas of services and those that are under performing, your public response to e mail, phone calls etc
  • Overall Impressions - Community feedback, value for money, suggested ideas to improve your customer experience to ensure return spend.

    You can specify a particular date or a ‘window’ of a week within which I will conduct my visit to assess your service. Your report will be issued within 10 working days of the visit. All reports are tailor made to your attraction - I do not use a standard report for each attraction. This is a personal and professional report for you. At no time during my visit do I make myself know to any of your staff members. I only deal with one nominated staff member - usually the owner/manager. All reports are only discussed with the nominated person.

    Upon completion of the report I conduct a one to one meeting with you to discuss the findings and help provide you with information to action the recommendations should you require.

    Your investment for this service is $200. This includes all entry fees to your attraction, food and any other costs associated with the visit. The only extra would be payment for overnight accommodation if required. As my company is new to the WA Market I am offering a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not happy with the service or quality of the report. Some clients require a one off visit and others prefer a regular reports over the course of one year. If you require a regular report please contact me for further details.

    FEE STRUCTURE

    All charges are on a per hour basis. There is no membership fee.

    Our rates start from $40 per hour. As all clients requirements are different we individually tailor prices accordingly to suit the request. All prices will be discussed and confirmed before your request is carried out. A Service Agreement is then forwarded for your signature

    We also create and deliver Memory Books and personalised gift baskets.
