Well it’s been nearly two months since i last wrote a blog entry. Lots going on! Firstly david wells. My thanks to all those people who have helped to create a great visit for David while he is here. David tickets have been selling fast with Spooky Encounters selling out in 24 hours! David is also going to have a lovely welcome when he comes to the airport as many fans are arranging to greet him there. Also he is going to be appearing on national TV on the Kerri Ann Show and 9 am with David & Kim. He is also going to be doing some promotional work with Foxtel whilst he is here. I’m really looking forward to seeing this event in the flesh as such.
Also have a fab new shop opening soon in Joondalup called A Cup Above. I’ve been working with Blanche to create a great night to celebrate her shop opening. Lots of cocktails, food and models! Blanche was travelling around Europe and was struck by the fact that many european stores sold beautiful bras for the larger cup. When she returned to Oz she decided to open a store which caters for this market. I had a look at the stock this week and it’s beautiful!
Yum in My Tum 08 has gone bananas!!!! Loads of companies on board with this, great activities for the kids lined up and so much support from the Perth community - thank you. It is shaping up to exceed even my expectations for the first year.
That’s all for now - will blog in a few weeks when things calming down from david’s visit.

The festival is progressing nicely!
Taking place at Whiteman Park on 30th Nov 2008 - ‘Yum in My Tum ‘08′ Food Festival for Children will aim to give children a very interactive event! We have lots planned included cookery lessons and demonstrations, children will be able to come along and find out about how we produce food, have a go at cooking and of - the best part - tasting!
We are always intersted to hear from suppliers who may be interested in taking part - but the emphasis is on good, fresh, wholesome food which needs to be reflected by our suppliers/exhibitors also.
We will have Jolly Jo’s Home Made Children’s Food there too with maybe even a special appearence by Jolly Jo herself!
More details soon

Wow what a week!
Had lots of developments this week! Had numerous enquiries about an event I have yet advertise, an enquiry about a shop launch in July which I am very excited about - loads of potential with that - and plans are progressing nicely for the festival in Nov.
All the offical requirements are arranged now which is a relief! My team behind me, who are skilled in their areas of expertise, are invaluable to JVG Events success so I thank them.
Congratualtions to Guildford TIC who re-opened this week.
Enjoy your long weekend.

Hi,
Just a thank you to Brian and Heather at Entopia Wines in the Swan Valley who very kindly hosted the End of Vintage Festival this year. It was wonderful to find out about the history of the winery and their journey to this point. Also a thank you to Geraldine for the invite and to the many swan valley wineries who provided the free samples!
Had a couple of training courses today in Perth city which were very entertaining but informative!
Good News! We heard last week that we have secured a festival which will take place on 30th November 2008 ! Details will follow shortly but it will be a very interactive with lots of great activities for people to take part in. This year it will be a small to medium sized event but if it is successful then next year we will build on it further and then increase it each year until it becomes a regional event.
Later.

Hi All,
Just a quick line to say thanks to those people who have put forward suggestions for events that they would like to be held in Perth.
We have three events at present in the pipeline. One is a larger event and the others are medium sized - all of which may take place in the later part of 2008.
Congratulations to Stewarts restaurant for winning the Taste in the Valley Cook off at the media launch last week. It was great to be able to put faces to names of some the Swan Valley Chefs and my thanks to Geraldine.
Must go lots to do!

Had a great today at the Dusk Bridal Fair at the Perth Convention centre. Had an opportunity to meet up with some suppliers which was great and we had lots of interest in two elements of JVG Events. The first was the Peace of Mind wedding package and secondly an event we are organising for later in the year.
My feet ached at the end of the day! Also talked with some potential new suppliers which was interesting.
